Are you a recent college graduate with a background in risk management, actuarial science or insurance OR, do you have current or previous experience in sales or insurance? Are you passionate about a career in insurance? If so, Clements Worldwide’s Global Development Program (GDP) can provide you with an exciting opportunity in all areas of international insurance.

What to Expect

If you successfully complete the program and obtain your insurance license, you will be considered for a role in one of our departments by matching your aptitude and interest with Clements’ business needs.

As a GDP participant, you will undergo

Work-based training for 6 to 9 months

The training is designed to help you develop the skills to be a successful insurance leader within our company.

Instructor-led and on-the-job training

You will learn about the industry, our products, sales, service, operations and more.

Rotate through various departments

This will give you a broad overview of how our organization functions.

International risks exposure in over 170 countries

Niche industry segments (embassies, security contractors, United Nations agencies, international non-governmental organizations, international schools, aviation, relocation, etc.)

Sales distribution channels:

  • Personal lines
  • Commercial lines
  • Affinity
  • Broker (Wholesale)

Direct and reinsurance models

Account management and client services

International claims handling

Insurer and broker experience

Qualifications

You must have:

A Bachelor’s Degree in risk management, actuarial science, or insurance, or be within one year of graduating in these disciplines, OR, current/previous experience in Sales and/or Insurance

Legal authorization to work in the United States

Above average verbal and written English language skills with the ability to communicate with people of all levels of responsibility, both internally and client-facing

You have demonstrated initiative and an entrepreneurial spirit

You are self-motivated and results driven. You have the ability to work well independently or as part of a team

You have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships

You are flexible and adaptable to a demanding and fast-paced work environment

You have the ability to obtain both a Property & Casualty (P&C) and Life & Health (L&H) license during the program

It will be great if you also happen to have these qualifications:

Proven sales, service, or support professional experience (outside of the insurance industry)

Prior international work, travel, education, or internship experience
