Every year, the Scholars® Health Plan adopts changes to meet the shifting needs of international schools and to ensure the quality of the program. After careful review of recent feedback received from our worldwide base of international schools, the Scholars® Health Plan is making important program enhancements.
At no additional cost to the insured, the Scholars® Health Plan will now offer an online suite of interactive resources and knowledge tools to help relieve the frustration often felt while seeking and receiving medical care abroad, including:
- Direct Payment Network
All of the physicians and medical providers involved in the International Physician Search are contracted to the Scholars direct payment network. Claim payments resulting from services provided within the network are handled directly with the Scholars Medical Program and alleviate the burden from the insured. - International Physician Search
Search an elite community of English speaking physicians, dentists, psychologists and other healthcare providers in over 200 countries. This community was developed to assist international assignees in locating quality medical care promptly around the world. After locating a medical provider, members are able to request and confirm appointments conveniently online. - Medical Translation Guides
Provides an online tool that provides direct translations of brand name drugs and critical medical terms into nine common languages. - Health & Security Profiles
Review up-to-the-minute, health and security information for more than 925 destinations outside the U.S.
