Our program offers optional healthcare plans tailored to meet your needs which include competitive premiums, affordable doctor's visits and coverage for prescriptions, such as birth control.
New Rates Effective October 1, 2008
Each year, the CorpsCare program is reviewed to ensure the medical benefits remain competitive at a premium that returning Volunteers can afford. As medical costs continue to increase throughout the industry, it was necessary for CorpsCare to recognize a modest increase in the monthly premium. While we understand that any increase affects all Volunteers, we are pleased that it remains considerably lower than the industry average.
Plan Options
CorpsCare
The primary insurance plan is designed to provide comprehensive, worldwide medical insurance including international medical evacuation. This competitively priced insurance plan offers the best protection against current and future medical expenses. This plan is strongly recommended for all Volunteers, especially those currently seeking medical treatment for an illness or condition including pregnancy and maintenance prescriptions.
Monthly Premium (For all policies effective until September 30, 2008:
Volunteer $155. Spouse $143. Child $132.
Monthly Premium (For all policies effective October 1, 2008 and beyond):
Volunteer $158. Spouse $145. Children $134.
CorpsCare Edge
This new alternative insurance plan offers Volunteers a new option for more affordable, quality health coverage. CorpsCare Edge is only for Volunteers that are healthy and not currently seeking medical treatment. This program features a lower monthly premium, affordable office visits and coverage for major medical expenses. While less expensive, this plan has coverage limitations and an increased share of medical costs for the Volunteer.
Monthly Premium (For all policies effective until September 30, 2008):
Volunteer $95.. Spouse $95. Child $95.
Monthly Premium (For all policies effective October 1, 2008 and beyond):
Volunteer $97. Spouse $97. Child $97.
